HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WOODS EQUIP HOTPLATE
Woods Equip Hotplates are made from steel, it’s strong stuff but doesn’t like being wet. That is why we have oiled it for you.
When you first use it you want to oil the plate between uses until it develops a nice black season to it. If you ever notice the plate looking a bit dehydrated, just give it a nice coat of cooking oil with a cloth to keep the moisture out. Using the Hotplate on an open fire or very hot cooker can burn the oil off so it pays to oil it after this. Feel free to oil the handles also to extend the life of them. If you look after your Woods Equip Hotplate in return it will look after you for a very long time.
To clean your hotplate, use hot water and a goldilocks. The Woods Equip Spatulas are also great for scraping clean your Hotplate. Once dry, give it a fresh coat of oil. We recommend storing your hotplate somewhere nice and dry and to keep it out of the dishwasher.
